The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort

After you arrive at Malé Airport (Velana International) in the Maldives and the completion of security checks, the Westin Resort Airport Representative will hold the Hotel name board waiting to welcome you in the arrival hall. They will guide you to the specific area for your onward transfer to The Westin Maldives and can assist with your seaplane check-in procedures.

Due to the aviation restriction in Maldives, seaplane aircraft are operated only during daylight between 6 AM to 5 PM. Guests arriving after 3.30 PM or departing before 9 AM are required to stay overnight in Male’ city before and after the international flight. In order to arrange this transfer, we would require your flight arrival time to the Maldives, flight number and full names of all as in their passport by no later than 72 hours before arrival. Each guest can carry 20kg of checked-in luggage and 5kg hand luggage. Any excess luggage is chargeable for 5 USD per kg excluding tax (subject to change without prior notice) Seaplane transfer may have to wait at the airport for one or two hours, however, the seaplane company will always try their best to arrange the fastest connection possible. Please keep in mind that there may be one or two stops at other resorts prior to arrival at Westin Resort as well. Seaplane transfers are operated by a third party; hence the Resort is not liable for any delay or operational matters of the transportation. The Resort’s and Clara Travel role is to arrange the transportation booking on behalf of the guest.

The resort’s check-in time is at 2.00pm and check-out time is 12.00pm. Late check-out is subject to availability and extra charges may apply.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you and other members of your party obtain the right inoculations and medical advice before you travel. Similarly, it is your responsibility to ensure that you and other members of your party have correct and valid passports, visas and have confirmed to all other requirements pertaining to your travel arrangements before the holiday commences.

Full payment is required when making the booking, either by Payment link (Visa, Master card ONLY) OR Bank Transfer.

No penalty fee will be charged for cancellation made up to 40 days before the date of arrival (except to the Festive season). Cancellations received less than 40 days prior to arrival will incur a fee of 100 percent. In the event of a no-show or failure to arrive at the resort are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
