Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival to Muscat

  • On the first day of your arrival, your Omani tour guide will welcome you at the airport and take you to the hotel for check-in.
  • Your tour guide will give you a brief for your whole trip, dinner at your hotel or nearby restaurant would be a great idea.
  • Accommodation: Muscat 4-star hotel.
  • Meal: No meals are included on this day.

Day 2 - Muscat

  • The tour begins with a visit to the magical Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (except on Fridays), The largest mosque in Oman, a splendor of unique Islamic architecture, the mosque capacity for about 20,000 worshippers, you will be guided by your Omani tour guide and don’t feel shy to ask any questions about the mosque.
  • Next will be Visit the Royal Opera House or Bait Al Zubair Museum (Select which one you would love to visit).
  • About Royal Opera House: One of the most beautiful and technically advanced opera houses in the world, this multiform theatre can transform from an intimate 1,100 seat opera house into an 850-seat shoebox-style concert hall with the push of a button. It was the first opera house on the Arab peninsula.
  • About Bait Al Zubair Museum: Bait Al Zubair is a cultural and heritage center that opened in 1998, funded by the Zubair family. This center is renowned for its collection of Omani artifacts, considered to be one of the finest privately-owned collections in the country.
  • Lunch – Hosted by your Omani tour guide, enjoy a local authentic lunch.
  • After your lunch, we will be heading to the old part of Muscat, where you'll see the two 16th century Portuguese forts, Jalali and Mirani.
  • Our last stop for the day is Mutrah fort & Mutrah Souq, walk to the top of Mutrah fort to see the stunning view of Muscat, Mutrah Souq is one of the oldest markets in Oman, the best place to buy some souvenirs and Omani sweets to bring home.
  • About 4:00 pm will be back to the hotel, your afternoon is then free to spend as you wish.

Special information:

To enter the mosque, women have to be fully covered from head to ankles (not the face) and men should wear long trousers to be allowed inside the Grand Mosque.

Day 3 - Muscat – Ras Al Hadd

  • Your tour guide will pick you up at 8 am to start your 3rd day in Oman.
  • Start the tour by going towards Bimmah sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with inviting blue-green water, you may also enjoy a refreshing swim in the sinkhole.
  • The next stop, Wadi Tiwi, is known as the wadi of nine villages, the scenery is amazing, with lush palm trees studded around a magnificent wadi pool and high mountains in the background.
  • Lunch – Hosted by your Omani tour guide
  • Continue driving to Ras al Hadd and check in to your hotel/Resort where you'll be able to enjoy a lovely relaxed evening at the property.
  • Dinner: At the hotel.
  • After your dinner, your tour guide will take you to turtle-watching. The turtles come to lay their eggs at night and this experience is a memorable one.

Day 4 - Ras Al Hadd to Wahiba Sands

  • We will be leave from the hotel at 8:00 am, our first stop will be in Sur, another town famous for its trading and still now famous for its Dhow Building Yard, Visit the Dhow Factory of Sur and Al Ayjah Watch Tower.
  • After we drive to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most picturesque wadis in Oman where water flows all year round. You can cool down in the green pools or walk up the wadi and see more pools with waterfalls.
  • Continue driving onwards to the beautiful Wahiba Sands, where you'll spend the night. Enjoy the tranquility of the desert at the desert camp, and relax under the stars, the night in the desert will be a timeless moment.
  • Accommodation:  Desert Camp Hotel
  • Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Special information

  • As per the Ministry of Tourism guidelines, in respect to villagers who also come to enjoy the area, we will ask you to wear clothes over your swimsuit, if you wish to take a dip in the natural pools.
  • The desert accommodation functions like a regular hotel room with bedroom, bathroom, electricity, and heating/cooling. Wi-Fi and phone signal are mostly working in the reception area of the property (Not in the room), There are some optional activities available at the desert camp, please ask your tour guide or camp staff for details of which activities are available during your visit. Some activities may not be available due to low seasons.

Day 5 - Wahiba Sands to Nizwa

  • After your breakfast, it time to say goodbye to Wahiba Sands.
  • Our first stop will be the Oman Across Ages Museum.
  • The Museum of Oman Across Ages in the Wilayat of Manah in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah, monitors the history of the land of Oman for about 800 million years. The museum seeks to introduce the various historical eras witnessed by the Sultanate of Oman, such as the geology of the land and the first inhabitants, all the way to the era of the Renaissance and the various achievements accomplished in it in various sectors.
  • After we headed to Nizwa, Nizwa Known as "The Pearl of Islam", Nizwa was the old capital of Oman, an ancient city surrounded by date palms and banana plantations, Nizwa is a diverse city with many historical and agricultural attractions.
  • Our first stop will be at Nizwa Fort, built in the 17th century by Sultan Bin Saif Al Yaruba, the first imam of the Yaruba dynasty, Nizwa Fort is famed for its distinctive 40m-tall round tower. By climbing to the top of the tower, you will be amazed by the scale of the surrounding date plantations and to admire the view of the Hajar Mountains that loom over the town.
  • After Nizwa fort will spend some times at Nizwa Souq where you can buy some souvenirs as per your wish.
  • Lunch: Hosted by your Omani tour guide
  • Next will be driving to Al Hamra to see the tradition homes, where we get to experience how the locals create a lifestyle in the older times.
  • After move on to Misfah al Abryeen, a truly pristine village that nestles at the base of Jebel Shams. Here you will get to see the large Falaj water system that supplies water to the nearby vegetation. There are numerous marked footpaths throughout the village.

Day 6 - Nizwa- Jabal Akhdar

  • Meet your guide at 10:00 in the morning, and travel to Jabal Akhdar, Jabal Akhdar, meaning the ‘Green Mountain’ in Arabic, is considered the fruit bowl of Oman, where pomegranates, apricots and roses grow in abundance in its Mediterranean-like climate.
  • Jabal Akhdar is famous for its mountain culture where the richness of the land and generosity of its people reflect the beauty of Oman.

Day 7 - Jabal Akhdar- Muscat Airport

  • It is time to say goodbye to Jabal Akhdar and we are heading back to Muscat, if your international flight is in the late afternoon or night flight, your guide will stay until drop you at the Muscat airport, if we have enough time before going to the airport, we will stop by at Amouage Perfume Manufacture and Visitor’s Centre, offering an innovating cultural experience in the heart of Oman as well as providing guests with a new perception of perfumes and Amouage.
